I would like to find a backpack that will accommodate my Nikkor lenses 16-35,24-70 & 70-200 along with the D810 and D700 back up. As well as the usual accessories, i.e.; filters, memory cards, etc. Any suggestions from the knowledgable UHH??

For what it's worth, this is my review of a Case Logic DSLR 206. You can get an idea from the things I pack in it whether it would or would not work for you. There are a lot of things I like about this bag, not the least of which is the rubberized, water-proof base that allows you to set it down and have it stand upright without leaning against anything. I also like the camera sling that lets me quickly grab the camera with a mid-sized lens quickly without the need to unzip the entire thing.

Check out Lowe backpacks. I don't think you can go wrong. That being said I think any quality backpack with the right configuration would work.

How large of a back pack are you looking for? I have an NG 5738 National Geographic Earth Explorer back pack that will carry several lenses, large and small, multiple camera bodies, lots of accessories, clothing, a lap top or tablet and just about anything else you'd want to bring along on a photographic expedition/hiking/camping trip. This thing is very well made and supposedly is the same back pack NG photographers use on extended trips into the bush. Did I mention it's fairly large, but it rides quite comfortably.

You don't mention a budget, but you might want to look into the Peak Design Everyday Backpack. Thinktank packs (and gear in general) is also quite well designed.

Check out the Lowepro Flipside 400AW, it's a bargain. If you need larger for a 150-600 zoom then their Flipside 500AW would work well.

I concur with the above about Think Tank and quality. I have the original Shape Shifter and after several years it is showing virtually no signs of wear. It is used almost always when I fly as it doesn't scream camera bag and looks unassuming while being lightweight and discrete. I notice it comes in two sizes now.

I went to a camping store, actually they specialized in back packing, after I explained to them what I wanted to pack they fixed me right up. After all I thought, they were experts and I was just a photographer, what did I know.

I own the LowePro Protactic 450AW

http://store.lowepro.com/protactic-450-aw

It will fit all that you want to carry and has three access points to let you get at some of your gear quickly.

Just be wary of their zippers, they've been reported to failures.

I like Moose Peterson branded bags. Used old series bags for years and around the world. Just bought one of the new series but have not field tested it yet.
Like how it is laid out, construction. http://moosepeterson.com
