All of these photos were orginally shot in 2008 using a compact Panasonic P&S. They languished in the Archives for many years, mainly because they had an "unfihished" look. I thought this was a good year to bring them to life and apply the editing skills I had garnered over the years to apply a final touch. And I'm glad I did ...... some of these are as close as I've even gotten to Street Photography.

Great set; but, uh, "The Eternal City" is the nickname for Rome, not Paris. Still a great set.

Thank you Paul. It's taught me to save all those old photographs ..... someday they will come in handy.

Thanks much rd. You caught it early enough that I was able to go back and apply an "Edit the Title" correction. It IS "The City of Lights", is it not?

Thank you Diane. As you may have guessed, Paris is almost too overwhelming to take in all at once. There is just SO MUCH to see.

I agree. Paris is known as " La Ville Lumiere". A loose translation would be "City of light".

Thank you Rowedean. Gathered in one place, they offer just a sample of the wonders of Paris.

Thank you Carol. This was kind of like turning the family snapshot album into an Art Gallery. I didn't know what I had in those photos until I began working on them.

"I'm smiling" Bob, excellent photos and I'm happy you went back and dug them out and shared them with us. And, you are a master at "processing" your images!

PS-BTW, you and the little Panasonic P&S did a marvelous job of composing and capturing these scenes.

Thank you Jederick. I've often held the opinion that any camera with over 8 MP's of processing power can create good images. For the sizes that we render images on UHH, they're more than sufficient.
