This one I like to look at often so I guess it must be a favorite. It happened very quickly as my husband was driving and I had to time it between the windshield wipers! No time to look at settings-just picked up the camera and got a couple of shots.

Great topic but very difficult to decide for a variety of reasons. I just viewed a bunch of beautiful photos submitted to this thread.

With that in mind, here are a few of mine.

All of these have been sent in lower resolution.

Picking my best shot of the year is a difficult task. I must of shot 10,000 plus shots this year. This Eagle from the Tampa Zoo is one of my favorites.

The original big bird. Superb capture.

Thanks, I love shooting at Zoos. Especially when I can travel with my good gear in tow. I have one of my daughter I took at the beginning of school this year I have about wore out posting, shooting in natural light. It may be one of my all time favorites. It makes my investment in camera gear worth every penny.
Paul - wonderful image. You should be very proud, both for your daughter and the moment captured.

I think these are my best three shot of 2016. Snoopy in search of the Red Baron, Henry Gross lead guitarist for Sha Na Na and a busy bee.

This past year has been robust with weddings, portraits and real estate/property images. My days are blessed. This a a simple but favorite image of a young woman in Northern California that just had a natural easy resonance during the shoot.

It's that time again--our annual 'Post Your Best' thread.. Christmas is over, the year is fast drawing to a close, and if you're like me, you took a lot of photos. Pick the one you like best from your work over this past year to share with us. Doesn't need to be an award winner, doesn't matter if you've posted it before. It can be any genre, it can be heavily processed, no post work, or anything in between. But let us see what moved you most from 2016, and thanks for contributing!

I'll start with a shot of my favorite Dark Lady, Madame P.

I'll have to say this little weasel set was my luckiest and some of my best from last year.

This was from our trip up through Michigan. Maybe not my best one of the year. But it was fun to get away for 2 weeks.:)

Nice capture Erv.
