Son-in-law just got served for a DUI. Lost his license for 60 days, has to start classes for 6 months, had to have a breath monitor installed for 1 year, AND lost his CDL for a year (he was NOT operating heavy equipment at the time, just driving his personal vehicle). Somewhere this issue of drinking and driving has to be reinforced - the son-in-law lost a $27/hr job; just got a new job paying only $12/hr. Paying a heavy, heavy price.

What is it with dumb ass sons in law?! Mine will be going to county prison for a while. Hopefully his time there will help him dry out and figure out what's truly important in life, his hot wife (my daughter) and beautiful children or getting loaded every day. The choice is his and he has one last chance, beautiful family or booze, hopefully he will choose wisely.

Holiday time - A Seasonal Reminder

With the holidays upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my family & friends about drinking and driving. As you may know, some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends.

Well, three days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails, followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling jolly, I still had the sense to know that I may be over the limit. That's when I did something that I've never done before…….I took a cab home!

Sure enough, on the way home, there was a police road block, but since it was a cab, they waved it past. I arrived home safely and without incident. This was a real relief and surprise because I had never driven a cab before. I don't even know where I got it and, now that it's in my garage, I don't know what to do with it!!!

Happy Holidays
Mark

First'm
I started drinking when I was 14, and have never injured anyone. The limit now is .08 which is ridiculous. I'm now 81, still drinking and still driving.

Better that than having had an accident which killed someone. That would be a sentence his conscience would be in jail for, for the rest of his life!
