J've used HP for years. Over the years Ive lost two printers because of ink drying or just messing up and plugging things beyond fixing. Now I've run out of patience with HP's high cost ink and have started using ink from Amazon. Other than the fight with the printer to get the ink to work, (printer's fault) I've had good experiences with the ink. When or if my printers stop working, I"M DONE with HP.

Had and experience with my Kodak photo printer using aftermarket ink cartridges. They literally destroyed my printer. Thought I would save $$$'s buying aftermarket cartridges. The savings was huge so thought I would give them a try. Don't buy aftermarket or refilled cartridges they junk up the print head to the point where it costs you more to get it fixed than the printer is worth. Now I only buy genuine ink and am in year 4 with my printer with no issues. I learned from a bad choice.

This may be a problem with your Kodak Model Printer, but not so with other Brands.

There is a refill site that I can recommend without reservation. INKOWL.com provides excellent products at very reasonable prices and provides exceptional customer service. I have used their inks to refill my high-capacity EPSON WorkForce Pro 4020 printer's ink tanks almost since the day I bought it over four years ago. INKOWL's ink has worked flawlessly in this printer with no ink-related issues. Color is indistinguishable from EPSON's insanely-priced OEM ink.

INKOWL.com provides refill kits specifically designed for hundreds of printers. Their kits provide all of the tools and instructions necessary to refill cartridges without a hassle. Their inks are formulated to work in the brand of printer that you own without problems. OEM cartridges always include an ominous warning against using non-OEM inks in order to keep you paying for their outrageously over-priced ink. HP, Canon, Epson and all of the other printer makers make the bulk of their profits on the aftermarket sale of their expensive ink cartridges, not on the printer itself.

For the record, I am only a very satisfied, longtime INKOWL customer and not affiliated with this company in any way. My recommendation here is offered freely as reliable information only, and I have not been compensated in any manner by this company for this referral. Please give INKOWL.com a chance to save you big bucks on printer ink.

Everyone needs to understand that it's the consumables that companies are selling. The printers, camera, etc. are cheaper because the companies want you to buy the consumables. Kodak sold cameras but their profit was made on film, film, and film. Digital camera makers want you to buy the digital storage chips. To hell with the camera. Somethings never change. Look at the price of ink for printers; it's outrageous relative to the price of the printer. I've tried refilling the ink cartridges but have given up. It's messy, time consuming, etc. So I just buy re-manufactured cartridges--they're as good as new and cheaper.

The ink cartridge that I previously noted as having only two of the three color ink tanks filled (or at least functioning) was sold as a "re-manufactured" cartridge. Yes, I know that particular printer is obsolete, but that does not excuse that sort of error.
