I am going on a long trip and looking for educational material on photography for the plane. Many of the photography podcasts (video) don't have recent entries. What are your favorites? thanks
thanks....from looking at the site, it isn't obvious that you can download a session to view later on an airplane.....can you?

You can. But, there is a catch. If you pay for an annual subscription, there is an app you put on your computer and you can save the lessons. It is perfect for travel where there is no high speed internet.
So, the big question is if you think there is enough content for your needs to justify a year.
Last year there was a holiday sale and I did buy a full year so I can tell you the app works very well for "offline" viewing. This year will be more difficult because I've discovered my local public library provides access to Lynda.com for free, but without the download capability!
thanks a lot......still hoping for other ideas of good video podcasts from other Hogs
It is not legal to download and share YouTube videos. However, it may be ethical and legal to download a YouTube for personal playback offline.
YouTube does not provide download tools. There are several you can find and are described in this article:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2476563,00.asp I've used the free version of "YTD Video Downloader". It works and I have a small "library" of favorite tutorials on my laptop for offline use while RVing or airline travel.
Favorites of mine on YouTube include Kost, Gray, Morganti, Kloskowski and more. Pick any photography topic for a YouTube search and you will find choices. All the software companies, including Adobe, have plenty. So do camera companies.
