I recently bought a Sony 6000 kit that included a 16-50 and a 55-210 lens. I am recently retired and have been interested in photography for many years. In the future I will be asking a lot of stupid questions, but I believe a person is never too old to learn and the UHH members are very knowlegable. I have been reading the UHH for about a month and bought the Sony 6000 based on reviews there. I have an older film camera. It is a Minolta maxxum 7000. Does it have any value. It is in very good condition. I bought a AF 28-85 lens with it, that I would like to get an adapter for so I can use it on my Sony E mount. Is that reasonable? Thanks for any and all advice.

Welcome to UHH Jimmer, glad you joined us. The only stupid question is the one that you don't ask.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

I too have the Sony a6000. The best and most used reference I have is the ebook by Gary Friedman. I have yet to read anyone being disappointed and you can get a trial version for 2 weeks.
http://www.friedmanarchives.com/alpha6000/ Also I bought $29.00 adaptor and are now really enjoying all my old Takamar lenses from my film days with a Pentax Spotmatic II. If you get around to using postproduction software. Try Capture One for Sony. awesome.
Glad to see you joined our happy crew. Feel free to ask. I have always been happy with the replies and there are very few rants as you see on other sites.
Thank you cyclespeed. This looks like a great souce to learn the capabilities of the Sony 6000. Where did you get your adaptor?
