Great shot. I remain awed by Monument Valley but learned up close last month that it has a serious competitor in Wadi Rum, Jordan.

Appropriate comparison, but aside from the memories of "Lawrence" that we couldn't avoid while in that space I still prefer Monument Valley for the dramatic landscapes. Did you get to interact with the Bedouins while there?

A brief but enjoyable encounter as the Super Moon rose in the east. We scrounged "firewood" and they brewed a pot of tea for us. We were leery of the glass cleanliness but greatly enjoyed the hospitality in such a barren setting. I had two glasses and none of us had ill effect. Somewhat magical.

Good thought. I always try to go where tourists never go.
Love the shot.

Really well done. Good exposure, great composition and outstanding DOF. Ansel would be proud.

Great shot, but I would leave the "tourists" in as a little scale and conversation point.....
