Let me refer you to this link:

There are pages of numbers to consider; let me summarize a few for you.

First of all, you forget Hillary won the popular vote. Everything you say is repudiated by that simple fact, that fact two and one half million times.

Then shut the fuck up Twatlow and suffer in silence. Do you look like Alfred E. Neuman? You sure as hell think like him. Pathetic Idiot!

Now, Trump won the male vote, getting 52% of it; Hillary won the female vote with 54% of it.

Hillary won the age group 18-44 with 53% of the vote; Trump won the elder vote (45 and older) getting 52%.

Trump won the white vote, getting 57%; Hillary won the non-white, getting 74%.

Hillary won the college vote with 52%; Trump won the non-college with 51%.

Hillary won the liberal vote (84%) and the moderate vote (52%); Trump won the conservative vote with 81%.

Trump won the born-again or evangelical christian vote with 80%; other voters went to Hillary by 60%.

In the "most important issue" Hillary won on Foreign Policy (60%) and Economy (50%); Trump won on Immigration (64%) and Terrorism (57%).

Hillary voters were More Union (51%) Trump voters more Non-Union (48%).

On "Candidate Quality," Hillary won on Cares About Me (57%) Right Experience (90%) and Good Judgement (65%); Trump won on Can Bring Change (82%). Trump lost big on Right Experience (7%) and Good Judgement (25%).

Finally, in 'area type' of voter, Hillary won Urban Area (60%) and Trump won Suburban Area (49%) and Rural Area (61%).

In summary, Trump voters were over 45, U S Born White Males with Meager Education, Suburban or (mostly) Rural Christian Churchgoers, Announced Conservatives who earned over $50,000 or more, and Wanted Change, were mostly concerned about Immigration and Terrorism, and Mainly Disliked His Opponent (50%).

Hillary voters were Better Educated, tended Female, Strongly Minority, Liberal with Greater Diversity of Religion, (9% were not born as U S Citizens) tending toward Union Households, Strongly Favored Her (53%) and supported her on Foreign Policy and the Economy. They favored her because she "Cares About Me" (57%) had the "Right Experience" (90%) and "Good Judgement" (65%).

Blurry, this is a partial summary (it goes on for pages) which favors Diversity (50,000 Hispanics reach voting age Every Month) and Youth (Hillary won 18-44 by 53% to 39% while Trump won 45 and older by 52% to 39%).

There is no reason for Democrats and Liberals to despair about the future, while the Republicans and Conservatives are dying off in the near future. The future looks bright for the Dems and Liberals.

I point out again Dems won the popular vote by two and one-half million votes; that ain't victory, but it ain't shabby.

The numbers show that Trump won by instilling fear of Terrorism and hatred of Muslims, then crowned it with personal Hatred of Hillary. He installed his fear and hatred among the uneducated, fanned the flames and won; he succeeded.

Hillary was recognized as the clearly superior candidate in qualifications and in the respect of the voters.

Now we have to suffer four years (maybe less) from his ignorance and incompetence, and hope he doesn't get us into another war.

Every election since the beginning of time we hear the same old story "Young people are voting Liberal while the old Conservatives are dying off." It gives a misleading perpetual hope to the Democrats for the future elections. The thing is though, people always tend to vote more liberal when they are young, and they turn more conservative when they get older. It seldom happens the other way around. So a chunk of those liberal voters who voted for Hillary this time around will be voting for some Republican next time. That gives us Conservatives perpetual hope!

it was perfectly fine for Oblahblah to campaign from Europe during his first run and meet with world leaders. It was ok for him to tell the Russians they would have more options after he was elected. But it's not ok for Trump to receive a congratulatory call from the president of Taiwan?

I'm really tired of the democrat paranoia. All this reinforces the book title: Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. The seeds of dissatisfaction are being fertilized by socialists, communists and hillary-rotten supporters. How sad that the democrats have sunken so low and hypocritical. I think you ought to look for blame within your ranks. You essentially elected Trump. Anyone that could have supported such a corrupt woman or a lame socialist is certainly to blame. The policies of either would have further bankrupted our country. Man up and let's see how Trump does. Many of us sucked it up when Oblahblah was elected. None of us rioted. None of us needed safey pins, coloring books, higher dosages of Prozac. We waited and watched and waited and watched. Nothing good happened in 8 years. Our brilliant business leaders found ways to cope and bolster their businesses and the economy. The minimal upswing in the economy that oblahblah is leaving us is not his doing. He's done everything to suppress the economy by blunder or plan.

Suck it up! Act like a thinking American not like a sheep in panic because one of your own said "BOO!" I'm willing to give Trump a chance. He has always surrounded himself with brilliant doers. You watch. He is doing that and you will see action. He will see to it that his lieutenants performs. You dont get to be a multi-billionaire without good organizational skills and reliance on talented staff. I can't wait to see if what he has in mind makes a difference to us all.

An ignorant, lying bull in a nuclear China shop.

And he has already insulted China:

China's foreign minister delivered a stark reminder to President-elect Trump Saturday. There is only one Chinese government to talk to.

The statement from the foreign minister's office came after reports that Trump violated the "one China" policy and spoke on the phone with Taiwan's president Friday. It was the only known time in nearly four decades that a a U.S. President has spoken on the phone with the president of Taiwan.

China views Taiwan's president as an illegitimate leader, because they still view Taiwan as part of China. The U.S. has been delicately balancing that for more than 30 years.

โ€œIt must be pointed out that there is only one China in the world,โ€ the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement on Saturday, according to the Financial Times, which first reported the call between Trump and Taiwan's president Tsai Ing-wen.

China's foreign ministry added it โ€œlodged solemn representations with the US."

It's still unclear if Trump's callโ€“in which Taiwan's president congratulated himโ€“was intended to cause the uproar and signal a new direction in U.S. foreign policy toward China or if Trump had been unaware of the precedent he was toppling.

"We urge the relevant side in the US to adhere to the 'one China' policy, abide by the pledges in the three joint China-US communiques, and handle issues related to Taiwan carefully and properly to avoid causing unnecessary interference to the overall China-U.S. relationship," China's foreign ministry stated.

Trump tried to rationalize his phone call Friday as it was coming under scrutiny.

"The President of Taiwan CALLED ME today to wish me congratulations on winning the Presidency. Thank you,' Trump tweeted.

He then later pointed out that the U.S. sells weapons to Taiwan.

Hate to say this, but I agree with Trump on this one. We backed what is now the government of Taiwan during the Chinese revolution. We continued to back the country until Nixon normalized relations with China.

They are a legitimate largely democratic government that is a major trade partner of the U.S.

Why should we cow to China and refuse to recognize one of our allies, while we do business with a country that has historically been an enemy?

If Obama can normalize relations with Cuba, which is a repressive dictatorship then why shouldn't we normalize relations with Taiwan: a democracy that was historically our ally and is still a trading partner?

What about doing the right thing? Taiwan is a legitimate government. Why shouldn't we have diplomatic relations with them. If China is that sensitive then that's China's problem. Why should we cow to their wishes and dump on our allies?

Yes Taiwan is our ally but China still desperately hopes that Taiwan will return to their country and has asked that we not interfere. In fact If you visit Beijing's Tianamen square where the Govt Headquarters are and take a tour you will be told that Taiwan has an empty chair in their chambers waiting too be occupied.
As for China being our enemy, can you point to a time in history where this has happened, true that China is a Communist country but that does not make them our enemy. In fact if you study their history you will find that the US came to their aid in fighting off the Japanese.

First, let's cool down and be civil. Don't think there's need for bad language here (although I'm tempted too).

Next, it was inept Carter that helped PRC legitimize their claim on Taiwan. He concurred with China and recognized China's sovereignty over Taiwan. This shocked our allies, the Taiwanese.

Taiwan is split but nowadays I believe the majority wish to be independent of China. This position has been growing in strength. It amazed me that carter would bolster the murdrous and backward Mao regime.

I've been to Taiwan and China many times. I have dear friends there. I monitor the pulse of the political and business climate in both places.
