The most interesting part of the whole article is the designation of the Apollo 17 landing area as one of the "precious heritage site" and the rules that go with it.

Let me guess you believe wrestling is real.
I don't know about you guys but I believe everything I read on the net. Sorry but the net don't lie.
I was a NASA senior manager during the moon landing "hoax"
One of perhaps a hundred thousand NASA, Industry, and Military supporting people all directed to keep the "hoax" alive!
I was responsible for the management and development of the landing and recovery equipment, procedures, operational testing and astronaut training to keep the "hoax" alive.
For the first lunar landing mission I managed the last remaining Luna Landing Training Vehicle (LLTV) flight readiness so that Neil Armstrong could be trained for the final descent to the Lunar surface.
I was Manager of the Lunar Receiving Laboratory (LRL) for Apollo 14 and 15 including the last Astronaut 21 day post mission quarantine and all of the Lunar material.
I can tell you it was hard to make it all a "hoax"!

Hi Jerry,
I was just searching for spare five pound notes when I saw your post.
I believe that a beacon was left on the moon that transmits every day and that scientists on planet earth record this and use this to plot the earths movement. The most obvious of proof but all the sceptics ignore this .

A German Lunar X-Prize team is going to land rovers on the moon and find the Apollo 17 lunar rover, thus proving that the Apollo landing actually occurred. Maybe they will also be able to find a way to prove that the earth is round and that the earth revolves around the sun. Even if they find the lunar lander and send back pictures, the nut case deniers still won't believe it. Studies have shown that presenting skeptics with factual information merely makes them dig in harder. Ignore them!

Hi,
Those sceptic (nutters) must really aggravate you . They want to see a conspiracy and then make one . A pathetic attempt to belittle the great work done by all involved. Their lose and their shrinks gain.

Well, I'm from Utah. I was raised Mormon in a neighborhood that was mostly Mormon. I believe anything anyone tells me. I particularly believe all things that are on the internet.

I find that hard to believe.

There's a reflector that bounces back the laser light shot up there. They time how long it takes for the return reflection and use that to compute the distance.

Sounds like they are going to fake yet another moon landing lol
