Nice, but gloomy. I didn't know that they let you prisoners have cameras.
Excellent work with paying attention to texture and details that are rarely noticed. Particularly true in numbers 2 and 8. The pick of the litter? Number 2.
Nice pics ... how long has it been out of use? I'm sure those walls could tell some interesting tales (but only if they could talk, of course)
Great shots, I wish they would tear the thing down.
Wonderful starkness to your images. Well done.
Very nice set of images. Why do people do things to get them selves sent to a place like this. Makes no sense to me.

Been there, learnt a lot of the past. Did you take the picture of the 'barber's chair'?
Thank you for sharing!
Sadly no, i was there as part of a field trip and did not have too much time to explore that far.

So from your experience as one, you know that they're allowed to have cameras?

The only time I ever saw the inside of a jail was on a field trip in grade school. Local lockup with no prisoners in the cells. I didn't know until recently that there's two parts to the "old" jail. Long since abandoned it still exists. I went upstairs and was able to browse thru the section I had never seen before. The door was open! The part I saw back in grade school had been converted to living quarters. I know some prisoners get to carry cell phones so maybe one, or some of the Hogs are behind bars.
