Between people trying to sell 'low number' fivers and animal rights lot moaning about traces of animal fat used in the dyes, anyone would think that the fiver is actually worth something. It actually has a see through bit that will no doubt get bigger as inflation eats into its value. Few ATM's issue a fiver, however it is the most handled note in the UK. Because of this it had the shortest 'life span' and was 'the dirtiest' note in circulation. The plastic fiver, will therefore have more human DNA stuck to it as it will not degrade so quickly and will be recalled much more infrequently. Dirty Lucre indeed. I suppose it could be laundered!
I would send you one, but the postage will only double the cost.

Sorry jerry, my wife keeps all of the notes in our household, however she does give me some loose change for pocket money!
A paper report said you can rub the ink off.Tell you what,Jerry, I will send you one, just remit ten bucks for postage.
Hi Jerry ,
Things are not good here in the UK, lots of people are now classed as Jammies (Just about managing )
We may need the fat for energy. The way inflation is predicted the £5 will note will soon be cheaper than buying the same about of fat in a piece of meat.

We spent three months there in 1974, and we loved the low prices, compared to the U. S. As we kept going back, we noticed how expensive everything had become.

Send them to me, save on transatlantic postage. I offer a free pick up for bundles of 10 or more (not necessarily consecutively numbered) and a free hand sterilisation service.
Please do not be concerned for us or our animals. Following the fine example set up by the US in making a mountain out of a molehill the comments of a few have been magnified out of all proportion to the actual complaints. Minority rights, faith, veggie - ism, all small pressure groups with a higher volume than the aptly named silent majority who could not care less.

Newspapers need "news" to stay in business. As Hearst once said, "You furnish the pictures, and I'll furnish the war." The News has very little to do with reality.
[quote=jerryc41]People in England are upset that the new plastic £5.00 note contains a tiny about of animal fat. I guess England must be wiping out herds of animals to get the fat to print these notes.
Didn't England have a problem with Mad Cow disease a while back, that resulted in the slaughter of millions of cows? Hmmmmmmm.
Please send your address and I shall send 5pounds of fat. Thanks in advance.
J. R.
I believe it's the vegans who are getting their knickers in a twist over this, so the Bank of England will have to go to the expense of changing the note to satisfy the minority.
2001. That was foot and mouth disease. A number of animals were slaughtered over "mad cow disease."
Most people in the UK blamed the European Union. We blamed them for anything.
