I sold a keyboard on ebay on Sunday, and the buyer said he would like to wait till Friday to pay. Fine with me. I was surprised to get an email from ebay this morning saying that an unpaid item case had been opened for it. It took a while to find out why this happened, but after a phone call to ebay, I learned that it was the default setting on my account. After two days, the unpaid item case opens automatically. The ebay rep showed me how to eliminate that setting. Once he pays, the case will close, and it will not hurt his rating with ebay.

I guess I could change it to seven days, but it's such a rare problem, that I'd rather not make it automatic.
Yes, their phone service is great. I clicked on "Call," and spoke to someone almost immediately.

Can you change the default setting to more days? I love ebay. I have over 120 feedbacks all positive. Mostly buying and selling camera equipment. I've never had a problem either buying or selling.
I've bought over $75,000 in 20 years on ebay NO hassles.
Buying on ebay is often easy. Try selling. Three times this past year I sold items only to find out that the buyer made claims that were untrue. Ebay has a policy that I have found to be true. The buyer is always right............no matter what. Three times I have been stung, the most being $200.
