Castro’s public image was a carefully crafted myth, more fiction than fact.

Sanchez’s book, “The Double Life of Fidel Castro: My 17 Years as Personal Bodyguard to El Líder Maximo,” describes his former boss’ hidden life of political ruthlessness, mistresses and greed.

Castro, who died Friday night at 90, made a personal fortune offering safe haven to drug traffickers, bedded a bevy of women over the decades, and once threatened his own brother, Raul, with execution when the brother lapsed into alcoholism in the ’90s, Sanchez’s book reveals.

As George Orwell pointed out when saying," some are more equal than others", Communism isn't a sustainable system. It will over a generation or two insure an educated and heathy population. This is evidenced by the Cuban people of today. Fidel Castro will go down in human history as one of the 20th century's great heroes. He was a patriot in the truest meaning of the word. Loved his country and the Cuban people. He helped rescue his country from a real dictatorship supported by unchecked Capitalism. He held off the most powerful country in the world determined to punish him and his county with a vicious embargo. They certainly felt the pressure over the decades but have prevailed with heads held high. It is a lesson the DNC should have learned. A lesson not lost on Donald Trump. Fidel Castro wasn't a dictator he was a leader.

whitewolfowner: They can't do a whole lot more to us than the spoiled little brat would, with the road we are going down. They are even starting to censor the internet. They can block a news thread that opposes the liberal agenda, but they can't block foreigners that are scamming Americans daily; figure that one out and you can see the whole ugly picture of where we are headed.



Nagy: This is a very bizarre answer to a question asked in the context of North Korean nuclear capability. Additionally, you leave much of your point to be guessed. Are you implying that if they did not have a nuclear arsenal, we could retaliate to whatever interference they committed against our communication systems by destroying their country? I had to ask, because at least half the right wing nuts here are irresponsible enough to agree to that.

As to the charge itself, you need to substantiate the extent to which you say this is happening. I have not had my internet, telephone service, or cable disrupted by the North Koreans. Do not know anyone else who has, either.

Tell me, if Kim Jong-un went on Korean television to say "cockatoo and nuts to the US," would that be cause to conquer them, too?
