I also have the nikor 18-200 on my d7200 and I love it too. The only time comes off is if I'm birding with my sigma 150-600 which despite some purist and snobs I think is also a nice lens. I didn't have the big bucks to spend on other glass. To me photography is a hobby not a quest to have the newest biggest or baddest. Others might have fancier lens' but me and my 18- 200 are just fine.

Hi all!

I currently have the AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-85mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR on my D7100 and not really pleased with the results I get with it.

What is your favorite everyday ro "walk around" lens?

Thanks,
Bob

I have yet to see a lens that can ambulate.

To all who have offered advice and recommendations, thank you very much! All greatly appreciated.

After reading all the comments, I have decided to first have my 16-85 checked/calibrated/cleaned at a service center before moving on to a new lens.
If I do move on, I will be looking at something in the same zoom range as the 16-80 f2.8 or similar.

Again, thanks to all!

Well I sent my lens to APS in Illinois and looks like my sharpness issue was due to mechanical problems! Needs lens barrel and zoom roller guide ring. Not sure how I did the damage but I guess that is my problem. Should get it back next week!

Tamron 16-300mm. ----Check out captures in past few weeks. I had the Tamron 18-270 prior then purchased this one for $489 free shipping. Could not be happier. πŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“ΈπŸ“·πŸ“·πŸ“·πŸ“·πŸ“·πŸ“·πŸ“·

Daytime: Zuiko f/2.4-4 12-60 (24-120 35 mm equivalent on Olympus DSLR)
Night: Panasonic Leica Summilux f/1.4 25 mm prime. (50 mm equivalent)

The second one is a real gem to shoot wide open at night.
