I spent some time looking at the reviews and ordered the new 35mm L from Canon today! Research says it is similar in manners to my all time favorite prime the 135mm f/2.0L. Anyone out there shooting with this one?

It is a very nice lens, a little pricy but a very nice lens. When I use prime lenses the two I use most often are the 35 f/1.4L and the 85 f/1.2L, although more often than not, I mainly use zooms.

I also have the 50mm 1.2 but after understanding the weight of the glass and focus speed I selected the amazing 135L... Very similar bokeh for portrait but fast focus for events. I'm sure the 35 version ii will be amazing. 😀

This lens has the new BR coating and I haven't heard a single review that hasn't been stellar. I know over at CanonRumors, users just love this lens. Cheers and congrats!

I do not have the 35, but have the 135 for quite some time and that one is a very decent lens!

I don't shoot Canon's but Nikon's and I have the old 35mm f1.4 lens and even thought it is manual, I love it. So sharp and the perspective is legendary. I'm sure the Canon is just as good.
