Does anyone know if they make such a thing as a hot shoe adaptor so you can use an old Canon AE-1 flash on a Canon t2i.

Mechanically, I think they both would fit.
But electically, you need to be careful! If the trigger voltage for the older flash exceeds 6 volts, then it could damage your Canon T2i.
In any event, you will be controlling the flash manually. If you want to use it as a fill in, or an off camera flash, then a radio remote like PosketWizard or FlashPopper can isolate you from what may be a higher trigger voltage.

Suggest you look the voltage up first. Someplace here on UHH someone posted a site that listed the trigger voltages for several hundred "older" flash units.

A Wein Hot Shoe To Hot Shoe Safe Sync (HSHSB) adapter is what you need. They sell on Ebay for between $20 and $70. I have a pair that I use on a pair of old Vivitar flashes. It is not a cost effective way to go for most people but the option is there.

Yes, that's a good item at a good price.
