Alligator Came Up Empty This Time

Last night I was watching this alligator laying quietly at the edge of the swamp pond. Suddenly it lunged out and snapped at something in the water just below the weeds.
I never saw what it was the gator wanted and it seemed to have missed...this time.

Nice shots. This is a beautiful Gator. I have noticed that the ones you have seem to have a lighter colored hide than what we have in Florida.
