Almost a Super Moon

d500 & tamron 150-600 iso100 f/8 1/60 sec on tripod. I took a bunch of photos with different settings but I chose this one for post processing because it was one that had the gray centered on the histogram.

It shows a lot of dark details, if that's what you was hunting for, great job. I particularly like mine a certain way as you have stated in your post. I like it. Good job. Moons are hard to shoot.

Thank you. Details was what I was hunting for but not just dark details. I can see a lot of light details too but perhaps it is too dark since a lot of people don't view on a calibrated monitor.

Is this one too dark? There are little specks of noise and stars in the black that should be visible too.

Perfect! I do like the touch up. Great view of a super moon.

When you get rid of noise you get rid of detail so I left in the noise of this one taken close to its brightest at Meridian. I held my breath and used a remote to try to eliminate shake.
