Great catch, Brent! Subject matter, composition and light control is all there and looks to be worthy of publication. Surfing, sports or So. Cal. travel magazine? Or even a large print for display in a surfing shop at the very least. This photo should go somewhere other than just hanging out on your hard drive.

You handled the lighting very nicely. Nice silhouette. Question: Do the surfers appreciate the beauty that surrounds them? Or are they too focused on standing up?

Thank you, thank you!! I remember many days waiting for the glass off, the right tide and the right swell . From Jalama to Trestles, magic when it all came together. I could handle a steady diet of waves like that, more fun than church.
