Emmott, I admire your touch. These are beauties. Question: my digital frame program has none that will slide under the petals such as in your #2. Which program are you using for the frames?

Obviously, no one in the Hedgehog group grows or takes photos of FLOWERS. I mean like, the sun came up this morning. Our back yard is about half perennials and is named with tongue in cheek regularly as THE MAN KILLER AND THE JUNGLE.

gorgeous - yea I think we all despise flowers - :-)

Welcome to Day 153 :) Six full months !! Who would have thought. When I started this I figured a couple weeks .. maybe a month LOL boy was I wrong ... I didn't realize how much enjoyment I was going to get out of shooting daily and sharing with y'all. Three cheers for us !!!
So it's all about the Flowers today .. it's been a while since we posted any and I don't know about y'all but I could use some pretty flowers to look at for a change. For my part I wanted to do blooming cactus .. since that's pretty much all we have here. But of course nothing is blooming at the moment .. it's too hot and dry out .. so I had to go to the archives for some examples. I look forward to seeing what's blooming in your world.

1st time posting! Flowers are my favorite to photography, especially as macros. The first two were shot with a canon elph, from a local farm with beautiful poppies, and the 3rd was shot with a Nikon N55 from the annual Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley a few years back. Don't quite remember the specs on that, I just hoped for the best. Now, I actually pay attention to my aperture settings and fstops!

great job

These are beautiful! P.44
Here are mine for today. My sweet hubby took me down the road to take some wildflower photos, and I only took my kit lens. Wouldn't you know the flowers were up too high on the bank to get a good one.The others are from my yard and our son's yard.

all these are very pretty

Funny thing when we buy hanging plants. They look fantastic when their bought but after 1 week, they don't look so great.

Same song second verse..every year I say no more and then try again. So just the other day I asked the nursery guy. He said to replant them in the wire baskets with coconut grass liners. (I had those but put the plastic pots in them) First to soak the lined baskets in water and then mix some peate moss with the potting soil and place right in the basket and replant the flowers. I did that today so will have to let you know if it works. Also he said, to water them morning and evening...but that is here in the TX. heat.
