I have an SX50 and like you I like taking pictures of the moon. I have taken a few that I like pretty well but none as nice as this one that you have posted. Could you provide a few details, settings, tips, perhaps?
Hi dallis! I use shutter priority all the time. Shutter speeds vary from 1/60 to 1/320. ISO from 80 to 200. I keep the image stabilization on. I use the 1.5x digital converter for my moon shots. Articulated screen to the left. Adjust your speed from the slowest right after new moon to the highest at full moon. Lowest ISO at full moon. Need to be a spot metering. Let the camera adjust the aperture automatically.
My moon picture was ISO 200 , Aperature F/6.3 and shutter speed 1/200.
Trying all the settings and take a lot of pictures! Happy shooting.
