I wonder how easily it bends in the wallet?

Apparently you can put them in the washing machine. However, they shrink if you put them in the tumble dryer!

Have you seen our Canadian money lately, closest thing to plastic without being plastic.

You have to be very careful a $20 purchase could cost you $40 and you would never know it until it's your turn to buy the next round!!

What we need is elastic money, so it can stretch further.

One day there will be no currency as we know it today, it will all be digital. Long after I die, I hope.

The plastic five pound note would remind me of "toy" money. It is smaller in size and an artificial feel to it.

I used to go to England every couple of years, and I'd usually bring some paper money home with me. One year when I went back, I handed someone a £1.00 note, and he looked surprised. That was after the switch to the pound coin. I still have a bunch of shillings. I started keeping them after the switch to decimal. They should have kept the name "shilling." They kept "pound," so why not "shilling"?

Good question. I guess it went the way of the penny farthing bicycle.
