In my research, I have found that my "grandparents", from various genealogy trees, have come from, and definitely not all inclusive:
England
Poland
Ireland
Scotland
Germany
You don't really know just how involved you can become when you actually only start out with:
Your Parents, Dad and Mom
Grandparents, Dad's Parents and Mom's Parents
Then you end up going through their parents, etc.!
We ended up with over 3,000 tracing my mother's
side of the family......now I'm into my Dad's side....
There are always others in the family doing research
that you don't know about until you start looking at
the "trees" already available on some of these sites..

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=search_all1.asp&clear_form=trueWhen you obtain a listing of the "surnames", and click-on one of them, the info. you will also obtain, near the right border, the words "Pedigree", "Family" or "Household".....the pedigree, if it has already been researched, will produce a whole family tree for you....and, it will tell who created it.....and, household will give you all the members of that particular family.....and, the "Family" will give you the members of the household with the word Pedigree after each of the names....give it a try with just your last name...you don't need anything else to create a "Search"......you'll be surprised.. :thumbup:
