The "New River Gorge Bridge" and "New River Gorge", US-19, Fayetteville, West Virginia!
This bridge crosses the New River and is the highest (876') East of the Mississippi.......here are some of the events and other spectacular feats accomplished there....the biggest event is known as "Bridge Day" and I'll include videos that shows some of the feats of the B.A.S.E. parachute jumpers (Sky Diving) on this day during the third weekend in October each year..jumpers come from all over the world to jump from this bridge.... :mrgreen:

Well.....I went this year.....and, believe me it's a lot of walking...but, I also saw folks walking for two miles to the bridge then you have to walk onto the bridge....here's a couple videos from YouTube.com of some of the events surrounding "Bridgeday"..........be sure to park you vehicle in one of the free lots and ride the shuttle bus to the bridge...saves time and walking distance....the leaves were pretty colorful this year as you can see...they attend from all over the world, expecially the jumpers...notice the rapellers and white water rafters......
