Once the ground freezes no rain water sinks in. Late this afternoon I was able to walk the brook "bed" at least halfway 'round to the river - something I've never been able to do since moving here in 1971. It's a bit scary.
Too bad you can't get some left over rain from the hurricane... without any damage of course.

A update from Florida. So far were we live we are ok so far. Some rain and wind and still have power. I feel for our friend that is down here from Co. Orlando got hit harder when us. I am sure that her boys will have stories to tell. No disney for them today as the park is closed. To bad I live to far from the ocean for some shots.

C'mon jkaufman....Click on REPLY then scrool down and you'll see below Under send a a box on the left, probably Select File and you choose a photo and click on Add Attachment. Being an ex-Vermonter ( W.Brat way back in the day) I love VT photos
