Just curious...have you checked KEH. Been looking at the Canon 18-200 myself. They have several.

That's the first place I generally look. And I have had good experiences in dealing with them. Their gear always as seemed better than the indicated condition.
But first wanted to see if any UHHer had one available.

I have had that lens for a long time and it is still my favorite.

Glad to hear about your confidence(s) in this lens. But does anyone have one to part with right now?

I do believe that Amazon.com has a few to part with.

Most excellent lens, that Canon 18-200mm refurbished from $449.00 for the money you can not go wrong.

I bought my Canon 18-200mm about a year ago and never had any problem with it. It's great for Macro type close up shots as well as being a good all around lens.

I would need about $400.00. Make me an offer.

I recently declined a deal for one for $180. Only flaw was a small chip on the filter ring. I'd consider offering you $200 shipped, but seriously doubt that you'd accept that offer.

I have a Canon 18-200mm f/3.5 5.6 L IS that i bought about a year ago along with my first DSLR, a Canon t3i.

I have several of my photos, all shot with my t3i w/this Canon18-200MM lens, that i am offering to sell to you.

I am new at selling like I am now. Can I ask: What do you need from me so you are sure that the lens is good?

I would be pleased to show you the photos I shot with my T3i w/18-200 lens. Until last month, it was the only lens I owned. I have actual shots done with this lens and camera that I can show you. I have shot a lot of beautiful flowers, surfers in actiion, seagulls in flight at the beach, butterfly's in flight and even a tiny spider which has been blown-up, framed and hung on the wall where it's displayed, with the rest of them over the mantle over the fire place.

I'm just now reminding myself that I shot a lot of pictures of my dog playing with other dogs at the Mission Viejo Dog Park. Find them on Yelp.com in Orange County, California under the category of Dog Parks or dog park reviews. the photos that are mine are identified as coming from George S.

Thank you

I am becoming more agreeable to sell you my Canon 18-299mm lens. I bought a week or so after i bought my first DSLR camera. It was a Canon t3i

I have photos of surfers, birds in flight, butterflys in flight, beautiful flowers and even one of a small spider that i blew up large, framed and hung, like many others on my wall above the fireplace.

I also just posted a lot of photos of my dog playing at the dog park and you can find them identified as taken by George S. at Yelp.com, Orange County, California, Dog Parks, Mission Viejo Dog Park. My dog pictures are posted in the reviews of the Mission Viejo Dog Park.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Thank you

Bob,

The Canon 18-200 is a good lens but to my knowledge isn't considered an "L" lens. A super lens for a lets say taking a picture of a bride and groom, you rack out, set your foliage back ground at least 20 feet behind the B&G, use off camera flash close up though you might be 100 feet away ..... a presto, a great picture with nice Bokeh .......... This is actually one of the favorite lenses for a world renowned wedding photographer.

But ..............

It's focus system is a bit of a dinosaur compared to what's been released over the last few years. The focus ring moves and you can't touch it in AF. Furthermore you must dis-engage the AF before you can override and touch the focus ring. When your snapping pictures of nature this could be bad ........ while your playing around with the ring, poof, the subject is gone.

Because of the focus issue the re-sale is about 50 cents on the dollar, I've seen clean ones in the $300 - $350 range ;)

I got started with my Canon t3i w/18-200 lens and i'm still appreciating the photographs I took from that combination. I offered that lens to you awhile back, but now I gave it to my daughter. I don't know anything about the Sigma 18-250mm, but my Canon was nearly a macro lens that gets close-up @ 200mm and and great for action, too. I have shots of dogs at play, flying seagulls, surfers, flowers and bugs.

To consider both of these lenses, please check out is how close the Sigma 18-250mm really gets you when comparing it to the Canon. When I first got my Sony, I bought the E mount 28-240mm lens on that same day. I picked up my Canon that was set at 200mm and my Sony set at 240mm. I used both cameras to shoot the identical thing, same settings from the same prospective. With my SONY a6000 @ 240mm magnification, my image was way smaller than the image from my Canon at 200mm. In other words, a Canon t3i shooting at 200mm got me a lot closer to my subject than the Sony a6000 at 240mm lens. I also think that the image quality was not any better on the Sony 28-240mm, even though that lens costs over $1000.00.
