I went down to the Salmon River (Oregon) hoping to get an image of a salmon leaping up out of the river. But instead I saw this Blue Heron standing about 2 feet behind one of the guys fishing watching for his opportunity to snag a fish. He seemed totally unconcerned about the men standing around him.

I've never seen such a "tame" heron! They're pretty tolerant in the Everglades, but this is amazing. Thanks for sharing!
He's probably use to the fisherman feeding him shorts and scrap so he's decided to hang around. When I fished in Florida off the piers the pelicans would take stuff right out of you hand if you let them.
Beautiful images, suntouched!
