Photographing Friends

I love the idea of putting disposable cameras on the tables. I think I'll suggest that to my daughter for her wedding. BTW, she hasn't asked me to photograph her wedding and I would not if she did. I'd rather "be there".

The only time I would ever attempt to do a wedding for friends would be if they were on such a tight budget that they would be unable to hire a photographer otherwise. And even then my photo's would be my gift to them.

I've heard horror stories where guests took those disposable cameras into the bathroom intoxicated. Imagine paying to have those images developed...

I don't know why some people here feel the need for personal attacks or hurtful put-downs rather than a thoughtful response to the topic at hand. It is enough sometimes for me to think of quitting UHH. Fortunately, I focus on the many thoughtful response before doing so. The question is about "photographing friends", not about the writer's motives or suggested ethics.

Those are the ones you throw away. Keep the good ones.

You get that a lot in the general photography section. Try looking into some of the less populated categories that focus on art, you may find you like them better.
