I know if I buy the D500 all my lenses will fit. However, would it be better to upgrade to the D750.

Buy 'em both. After you use them long enough, one will become your favorite. Now, if you asked about the D750 vs. the D759, I'd say go with the 759. It's 9 better than the 750.

I think the real question you should be asking yourself is do I need full frame?

If you do a lot of sports and or wildlife photography then the D500 would suit you; but if you do portraits, weddings, landscapes etc., the the D750.

I would strongly suggest moving to the D500. It is a pro DX camera which you can use all of your lenses. Excellent low light capability. 10 frames per second, and 20+ megapixels will do you well. I currently have a D810 and D7100 and will be upgrading my DX to the D500. Hope this helps

Yes. You will eventually go full frame.

You had a typo error on your title.. It's the D750. We know what you meant to type. I've seen worse. The new D750 is now priced about evenly with the new D500. If I already have DX lenses, I would buy the D500. FX lenses aren't really cheap. And I predict the successor to the D750 will be announced by next summer's end.

This post has helped me tremendously. I'm in search for a full framed camera. My camera battles light to much. I use D3300 right now

Honestly?

FF vs DX, again?

Consider the cost of switching over, not someone telling you what to do because he/she promotes FF.

Both have their places and the place is yours to select.

A D500 offers the latest technology and is incredible once you learn to stretch that camera capabilities until it hurts. Since it is DF, as your existing lenses, it is cost effective and with a 24mp sensor justifying the upward cost to FF is hard.

Note that this question is asked over and over in all the internet photo forums... So far no one has offered 'THE' answer so stick to cost.

DF vs FF debate is a false debate. It is a choice. Once you made it, it is 'faith'. This is how I read the answers. Who will ever admit that they were wrong to select either once they spent a few Ks????

You will still battle the light. You just won't have as much noise, and you should have slightly more detail in more pixels spaced differently.

How do you intend to use the images? prints? What size? Posting online? What kind of subject matter do you shoot? Do you find yourself cropping a lot? What lenses do you already have? What is your budget for new lenses?

I have both and I like both. It is hard to beat the D500 for action at 10 FPS. It's your choice.

Compare the specs and decide what's important to you. The D750 is a great camera. I wouldn't want to give up the built-in flash.
