The continuance of the Merritt Island morning. This section has the butterflies and kingfisher
Very good. It's really hard to get those evasive Kingfisher birds.
Thank you-it was great just to be able to get out this morning.
Your Gulf Fritillary shots are gorgeous. Must be the same one I saw in Deland - at least he sure looks the same lol. They sure do love Lantana. I have to admit I am jealous of your Kingfisher shots. I've tried to catch them on the river with very little luck!
I actually shot 4 different butterflies(I haven't got into the ID part-yet). They were only in one area, of the 5, that I went to. I was happy just to finally get a kingfisher shot that was "acceptable"-it was actually the first time that I was able to shoot one. Appreciate you taking the time to look.
Very nice! We're heading down around the 15th of November. Any thoughts regarding theoretical activity? We may stop at Haulover Canal drawbridge and visit the pelicans for a bit as well. Staying near UCF for a few days. May go to Circle B in Lakeland for a morning also.
When you get down here, send me a PM. But to answer your question, there should be plenty of activity, bird-wise, and other critters should still be out and about, since that's still early winter. there are plenty of places with a couple of miles from Haulover. I should be arriving back home around the 13-14th(from my trip to TN)
Will do and I appreciate your response! We've done Blackpoint a couple times too.
Cool-look forward to meeting
Very nice set of images. I think Nos. 2 and 3 are my favorites.
A really great and beautiful series! Thanks!

Thank you-getting a shot of the kingfisher makes it one of my favorites, too!
