That shot is not just your best, it's the best one I've seen in 65 years of photography. Great job!

Brilliant capture!
BTW - do you still use your Tamron 150-600?

I took this photo yesterday at Hayden Lake close to where I live in Coeur d' Alene, north Idaho.

the osprey had just caught a salmon and was on it's way to eat it back in the nearby trees.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 1/500 - f/11 - ISO @ 1250. Distance was about 150-175 feet.

I used 560mm. Hand held.
Please use the download.

Clarity - Wow! ... Hand-held - double wow!! You continue to amaze me.

What they all said. I really like the background. I once watched humans fishing on a small lake while a couple of osprey worked the same lake. The final tally was osprey 9, humans 0. I wondered how the osprey could eat all they caught!

You've pretty much nailed this, Regis. As mentioned on a previous shot of yours I like the sharp bird and the movement in the wings. I viewed the download and expanded that to see the beak / eye / victim as sharp as the pixel limit will allow. I expect you see it even better. Fantastic.

I appreciate your excellent comment, John. I thank you very much for your great reply.

I am sure anyone can do as well as me or better if they practice and put forth their best effort.
I thank you, koosh, for your excellent comment.
