Back interested photography and racing so I found this picture on facebook. It is the dragster we ran for about 14 years, and is one of the best pictures I have seen of our car.

You wrote "old style". I haven't been to a drag race in a long, long time. Don't they run rail cars any longer or is all funnys now?

Old Style -- sory about that.

In nostalgia drag racing they still run the front motored dragsters but yes funny cars are taking over. In nostalgia class they are running the rules from the 1970s

Engine in front of the driver is pretty old school.

They run Top Fuel and Funny Cars. Top Fuel is the evolution of the front engined rails.

Nice ride Racer... Glad to see that some people don't park them in a field and let the elements win their final race. I still have one... My 55 Chevy was a B/MP car in the late 60's. Now it's my fair weather driver of choice.

We used to call them "Rails" and if it had two motors it was called a "Freight Train". You don't see them built like this anymore that I know of.

Nice photo, this is the style of dragster that I liked best, clear back into the late 50s!! Always a big fan of Garlits, Cyr & Hopper, Prudhomme, etc. Now at 77 I still cherish these memories! Thanks for sharing!
