I set up a new router a few days ago, and I'm not about to tempt Fate and make any changes. For future reference, here's what to do when you get a new router.

If you ask a secretary for a file card you will get one thing; if you ask it of a machinist, something very different.

Most of those are good steps to do.
I set mine up so it allows me to remote access with Remote Desk Top - by limiting the access to the mac address of each device, no one else can get in unless they are pretty sophisticated hackers...

I'd try it on some scrap lumber first before starting on the good quality lumber.

Don't worry about Trump. He'll make something up and forget he said it.
Could not figure how this discussion became political, but we should keep the playing field level.

What I would like explained is how the h... did we get ourselves into this fix of having to choose between either of these two.

Perhaps by our citizenry not taking responsibility for our government - allowing others to "do it for us". I'm included in the set.

People that have to inject politics into everything must lead very pathetic, lonely lives. How about keeping your politics to yourself? NOBODY asked a single thing related to politics in this thread, and then some cretin comes along and has to ruin it. If you are too ignorant to address the issue at hand it's truly best to keep your mouth shut and your ears open.
