Really? After seeing this, who could not love these fantastic, noble animals?!! So big, yet so gentle...

PS...I had them all my life, and couldn't live without them!

These shots are not all that clear but as I said they were taken with one of those cheapie cameras back in the 1990's

These are of my Tennessee Walker ( Tony ) One of the best riding horses I ever sat.

Tony was also in the Sheriff's mounted posse

I rode hunters and jumpers (mainly thoroughbreds) but have met a few walkers and they are really lovely animals!

My dream life was to live on a KY breeding farm...lucky you! I'm trying to get tickets, hotel, etc this year for my best friend of 40 yrs, and I to go to the Derby this year as a check off on our bucket list. This bucket list is gonna break me financially!! YIKES!

Ewinij....When I was 16 years old I worked with trotters and pacers housed out of Jackson Tennessee. We took three horses up to Louville Ky at the Fairground Speedway and ran them around the track for one season. I slept on a cot in one of the stalls. It was a very tough job but I learned as a very young man the ways of the world and it made me aware of what to look out for. Those days were very interesting and I fell in love with horses.

You should be here now. Keeneland is going on for about two weeks now. For the money you will spend at the Derby in two days, You could stay in Lexington for a week and take in several days of racing at Keeneland. It is a beautiful race track and you could take pics till your eyes turn red!

I took this one as I was riding by, In fact, I think I took this with my phone. They came to see who was passing by...kinda the same idea, but not nearly as unique.
