Quoted from CNET:
"No new MacBooks. No new iPads"
"It's kind of incredible that Apple is still selling a four-year-old MacBook Pro, and that its flagship MacBook Pro with Retina Display is still using Intel processors that are two to three years out of date. Mac users are getting understandably antsy about when, or whether, they'll be able to upgrade from older systems."
Apple has fallen behind and seems to have given up on the computer market. If I want a state of the art Lap Top that does not run Windows, what now? Linux?

Wow, you're the first complainer of Apple Computers. Mac owners all say they are the best on the markrt, and recommend everyone to buy one.

I love my Mac's and the OS X software. But Apple computer tech has fallen behind. Is that a complaint or an observation?
I am using a 4-year old 13" MBP w retina display with Lightroom and many other applications. It has 8 GB ram and a 512 GB SSD. It does everything I need it to do and is a beautiful piece of kit. I will order the new one when it is released probably before the end of this year, not because the one I have is tired (it really isn't) but because I love Apple design and I anticipate the new one will be even better than the one I have. That's what some don't understand about Apple. They don't release new computers just because a new chip has come out, or because its been a year since the last one came out. They release new models when they can be noticeably better than the current one. For me, this is a smart way to go.

The MacBook does run Linux under the covers.
