With the right camera and apps, you can send images via ad hoc WiFi from camera to phone, then send via 4G/LTE from the phone to your client or a web hosting portal. It's not for the technically challenged, but it isn't difficult, either.

I agree, and understand the technology. And, I recognize there are some situations where it would be helpful, such as a studio setting, where the photographer is cranking out images and another person or two is processing on the network in the studio. My photography isn't in that place. Plus, I would think data charges for the phone would increase exponentially in the scenario you describe. I send them enough as it is! :-)

The newer phone plans have lots of GB available. But even so, you only need to send JPEGs from the phone, and only occasionally.

In a studio, WiFi normally would be available. And there, you would send files to a laptop, perhaps via USB cable. At my former employer, we used hundreds of Canons and Nikons in USB tethered mode (with EOS Utility and Nikon Capture NX feeding a "hot folder" watched by our editing/ordering database).

So, was the girl in the pic doing an image at f/35, 10 mins of exposure?? Some just LOVE to complicate things unnecessarily. For 99.9% of people using a handheld light meter is getting a thing of the past, or something just a few use on special situations. Do you have some of those images using a handheld meter readily available to see? Just curious.

Not easily available.. Most are images I took for customers. I do a lot of real estate photos (especially indoor with strobes and a flash light meter is absolutely necessary to get a good well exposed shot. I don't do averaging I look for specifics in my photos.

One of the biggest complaints about DSLRs is that they do not have WiFi and the BIG manufacturers have been incredibly stubborn about implementing it. Canon just recently finally caught on. Nikon? Still waiting.

It's not just WiFi but also 4G, and Smartphones have both. With a data plan you can get 4G in lots of places that you can't get WiFi. Most plans are $30/month. DSLR's would have to have both to have an edge in that department. Me, I'll stick with DSLR's without the WiFi. Not that much of a big deal.

"amends" ??? maybe "shoot Canons"; Janice would be happy you remembered.

Thanks. "...my friends all drive Canons, I must make [amends]..." Spelling is not my forte. Better at music trivia. It would not rhyme using "Canons and Nikons". So I just picked the obvious "white lens" choice. Do note Pentax has a few White super telephoto lenses as well. I don't remember what long Minolta lenses were like. Well, lets get to my real point. I don't use Nikon or Canon, but Pentax DSLRs. (I have Nikon view camera and enlarging lenses and a Minolta Spot Meter.) But...

Only one problem... 'Her cameras' are hanging from straps.. Where are they on her? Under the coat? Where are the stretches? Photoshop work well once again.

Had the same question re: Photoshop work missing the straps stretching her coat at least a bit.

Incorrect. Its not absolutely necessary. You do it that way. Do not try to pass your opinion as fact. A lot of others competent photographers, possibly the majority do not. In camera light meters have improved, a LOT from the 1970's ones my friend.

There is a difference between reflected light and incident light. However, if that is a light meter, it is measuring reflected light.

I reckon she is doing video footage or perhaps a time lapse clip.
The iPhone is perhaps the fastest way to do a time lapse clip.

It's totally possible that she's using her phone to live stream some of the event via Periscope, Facebook live, SnapChat or other social media app.

My new Nikon D750 has WiFi. What is 4/3 Micro?

I'm dumb. What is a micro 4/3 camera? Never came across that yet.
