Two images taken during a recent workshop in Ireland with Phase One, maker of medium format digital cameras and digital backs. Had the chance to shoot with their IQ260 achromatic sensor, 60MP B&W. These are downsized jpeg files.

Kjr.7007, excellent B&W photos and I doubt the camera made the photos. It was for sure the man behind the camera that captured these.

Yep. B&W doesn't do anything for these. I don't know what people are thinking, but the tones seem rather flat. the water seems the same as the grass. Of course, this is just my opinion which, always seems to be in the minority. Lol.

B&W doesn't do it for me, but the composition and technical details are all good so I think the color would make them WOW! just my opinion.

Ok all, I get it. I will work on these a bit and post an update. These were shot with an achromatic digital back, so it is not possible to covert these to color images.

I do have other shots from this location taken with a color back - one example is below. I have many others.

Appreciate the feedback as always.

Ken

Just left these cliffs a month ago...how beautiful...great shots. I am enjoying a surge of happy memories, especially since it is 95 in Florida. gasp.

That was very kind of you to do this, Thank you! I am also glad that you don't think I was being a jerk; that I was simply giving my honest opinion. I enjoy having my work critiqued whether I agree with the critique or not. It helps one learn.

Agree completely. One more B&W - bit more effort in post.
