After lunch we headed north out of Silverton and drove up to US Basin from the south. Wow, what a treasure trove of flowers and scenery!

Diane, this is yet another fabulous addition to your already prize winning CO series. All of these are gorgeous, and I am especially fond of #5 and #6. Those wildflowers in #5 are really beautiful, and I love the look of that winding primitive road in #6. But I am a bit puzzled by the appearance of so much green on those otherwise barren mountain slopes. This was most noticeable in #6 and I suppose it is just some type of grass. Anyway, I have enjoyed all of your CO Rockies photos and I know you had a wonderful time there.

Beautiful flowers and mountain scenery, perfectly presented! I have been lagging on looking at your series but now am caught up again - I have been working on my Iran series and am starting to post them today.
Looking forward to the continuation of your Colorado trip!

A tremdously, well focused, set of images. Fine depth of field and great color.

Diane, these are all stunning. The landscapes are beautifully composed and wildflowers are colorful and sharp. 🏆

These photos have "blown me away"! I am awed at the beautiful flowers. I have been moved to tears! I do love this sort of scenery, so different to what we have in Australia. Mountains are scarce in this country. However wildflowers are prolific and they are starting now. We are heading off in the caravan in a week or so to take the wildflowers growing in the wilderness. I'll be looking for orchids. Plenty around when you know where to look. We also have mass landscapes of pink and yellow everlastings. Stand by for posting of these in a few weeks when we get home!!
