John, you know I am so happy you stayed on board with me and that you enjoyed this series and I appreciate your 4 thumbs up!!! We had such a wonderful day at the seaport, I just had to share how beautiful it was with my UHH Family!!

Anglea,
Nice shots all, and I absolutely love #2 & 8. So many similar shots like #2 end up with the masts look like they are leaning, and if it 'leans' too far, it just ruins the shot (in my opinion). Number 5, suffers from the same problem; if you have a PP program like Elements (and many others) you should be able to "skew" it to straighten the masts some. You may not be able to get them absolutely straight without making the hull too strange; perhaps just crop the bottom and make the hull vanish. The masts are the picture.

Thanks JCam for checking out this last set, I appreciate your visits and comment, but I don't think I'll be doing any more work on these shots, to me I like them just the way they are and they are already filed away!!

Wow, Angela! Nice work!
Mystic is always a great place to photograph.
Well done.

Good morning, Jeff!! I'm glad you enjoyed taking the tour with me and as I said before, we really enjoyed our day in your beautiful state!!! I hope our next trip across has beautiful weather like that day and not this hazy, hot and humid temps we're getting now... ugh!!! Randy suggested the Gillette Castle, have you been there and is it close to the aquarium??
Stay cool my friend!!!
Yes, prediction today, 105* with the heat indices! YUK, in door day, PP some pictures! LOL Gillette Castle State Park is very nice. The castle has numerous photo ops
of the architecture and river below. Driving, I figure about 45 minutes to and 45 minutes back, 40 miles each way! Yes, we have been there and enjoyed our short
visit. Worth the ride through scenic areas and maybe roadside photo ops. Will stay cool. You folks likewise.

If you're looking for places in CT to see I can suggest the Goodspeed Opera House, the Essex Train Museum & Steamboat (don't know if that's the correct name of the place. Just google Essex) where you'll see Gillette Castle & the Goodspeed O H from the water.
Also, there are some beautiful buildings on the Yale New Haven campus including the old documents library which, I think is made from translucent marble slabs.
Finally, there are some Revolutionary War Cemeteries, mostly upstate, the Seaport in South Norwalk, and some very scenic towns all over.
I was thinking of something else but I forgot
Maybe it was the Pequot Museum (Native Americans) which I think is part of one of the casinos but I remember seeing a Pow Wow at a museum in another location.

You are the only judge you have to please
BTW Gillette Castle is another interesting place to visit, but that's another place we haven't visited in 50+ years. My wife went to college in New London and when I visited for weekends we day tripped to a lot of the 'tourist' places we could without spending too much money.
