Had some interest expressed in seeing some more of my bird shots, so here's another batch taken, of course, at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge-some practically in the shadow of the old VAB. Tonight's series highlites the Roseate Spoonbills which frequent this area. It was suggested to me that I start uploading for download, so that's been done. However, I have reduced the JPG quality to reduce the image size in order to fit more images in a single post-FWIW. Hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.
Thank you, Carol. I love shooting the roseates, not only for their color, but the birds have noticeable personalities

i found both of your posts very enjoyable. in part 2 you have a couple amazing reflection shots. gary
Thanks-the reflections are one reason I like to get out very early, when the water is still
Wow, so many great shots of this beautiful bird! I haven't seen many of them around here this year.
During the late winter, thru June, there was a huge population at the refuge-they've pretty much spread around the coast, now, but a small population always seems to hang around throughout the year

Thank you, Jan-I'm glad you enjoyed them. I'm happy to be able to share
A great series I love the colors, and the reflections of these birds.
the roseates are fun to photo-1) because of their colors, and 2) after watching them awhile, you notice they have distinct personalities
