This model's Bio indicated she was 5'4" and weighed 98 pounds. With some misgivings, I contacted her and she stated she had not posed nude, but thought that I would be a good "first". She wasn't shy at all, and we had a great day. This young woman has two kids and seems to be in perfect health. She lives with her parents and I learned that her father is a retired Marine Colonel! I didn't meet him. We did this shoot for trade, and now I can't afford to shoot with her.

Too thin?? What's too thin? Big difference between very thin and skinny!
She's beautiful! All that dark hair and blue eyes, I just wish she lived near me!! Next month I'm gonna shoot a model that is 5' 8" and weighs 100 pounds and she's beautiful.
I agree, #3 is not my fav. Nice job

The last shot is Be-Zar-Oh ! indeed. Interesting approach to a lot of subjects... from flowers to frail ladies.... she is a beautifully sculptured figure

Very lovely model. I have seen something very similar to #3, done without mirroring. The torso on the right was horrified and trying to get away from the torso on the left.

I say too thin, looks anorexic.
But some like it so all have opinions like you know what all have.

Gee, I thought this section was about nude photography but it turns out it's about old men body shaming women.
Go figure.

I fail to see how the remarks were "body shaming" women. None of us will ever post a photo here that appeals to everyone from a quality or subject standpoint. It's a tough crowd of photographers here and we all learn from each other. Keep up the good work and keep posting.

buckwheat,

Hey, 'Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder!' She is a model and that makes it good. Her hair and eyes are very nice, indeed. She must be pretty good since she is now too expensive to shoot. I have to agree, with some, that the last one is somewhat different . . . but it looks like you did a fairly decent post processing job making that composite!

Best Regards,
Tom

What do you mean my "and now I can't afford to shoot with her". You were doing the shoot for trade? What are you trading for? If it's just trade for copies of the images, that costs nothing except maybe a CD or DVD. What did she want, framed photos of her?

Trade for prints or pictures is often misunderstood. I wanted to enhance my portfolio, as did she. As she had no experience working nude, we both benefited from this shoot. I contributed my experience and my small amount of talent and skill, and she provided herself as the subject. She didn't pay me - I didn't pay her. She invested her time for the shoot, I invested the use of my equipment, the time for the shoot, and the time and effort for the post processing. The monetary investment is irrelevant. Neither of us feels that we worked "for free"!
Oh, and I own the rights to all of the photos, for whatever that's worth.
