Is guy a Hawk or Falcon?

Caught this guy in my backyard. Not sure if he is a falcon or hawk. Sorry the pic is not sharper but in my rush, the camera was set at 1/60 of sec.

Dan, it looks like the bird experts don't wanna play so you're stuck with me. My bird IQ is less than most birds though!
I think he's a hawk. Need to see his wings. As far as I know, hawks have blunt wings that look like your hand. Falcons have pointed wings. To me looks like a hawk or possibly some kind of seagull!! See, what I tell ya!!!! LoL
BTW, how'd you know his name was Guy?!?!

Great question and hard to answer without a peek at his wings. Here's what one expert site says"
Falcon: A medium-size bird of prey with long pointy wings and tends to be a very swift flier. Falcons catch smaller birds in the air with swift, spectacular dives, called stoops. In cities they are masterful at catching pigeons. Elsewhere they feed especially on shorebirds and ducks. They often sit on high perches, waiting for the right opportunity to make their aerial assault.
Hawk : A medium sized bird found mainly in woodlands hunting by sudden dashes from a concealed perch. It usually has a long tail for tight steering. Their flight is an accipiter like pattern of intermittent flaps and glides.
Did it fly away eventually? Did you get a look at the wings just like S/S says long a narrow it's a flacon, short and blunt it's a hawk. I'm going to look around a little more and see what I can see. I found a photo of a sharp shinned hawk that looks pretty much like what you saw. take a look and tell me what you think.

i also think a coopers hawk from what i have seen on uhh , here is a peregrine falcon , showing just how much falcons are built for speed

Looks to me like a Northern Goshawk. Note the tail bands and the white supercilium above the eye. Goshawks are Accipiters like the Cooper's and the Sharp-shinned, but larger. I also think the the hawk is a juvenile.

Looks like a Coopers Hawk to me...the red eye tells me it's an adult...nice shot👍🏼

Looks like a hawk to me, Dan! Good shot! I saw one today sitting on a wire but we were passing in the car and I couldn't get a shot. :(
