I have two old 35 mm cameras - a Miranda and a Nikkormat EL which I haven't used since I bought my first digital camera. Is there any market for old, used 35 mm film cameras?
I have found that the best market is donation to a school that teaches photography.
Quick check on Ebay shows $30 - $100 depending on what model of Nikkormat EL.
If they are in very good to mint condition, collectors would be interested in them. These 2 Nikons are probably too old for the younger folks who are developing an interest in film phoyography. eBay is probably your best bet to sell them. Or, you could donate them to the Salvation Army, Goodwill, or other local charities that sell donated items for operating cash. Good luck!
Also the possibility of conversion to IR photography

Unfortunately the value of 35mm cameras is lower than ever. Do not expect much when you sell your cameras since there is no interest on the part of a majority of buyers. Businesses like B&H, Adorama, Cameta and others will offer you pennies if they show interest in buying. Collectors are hard to come buy for cameras like yours.
I agree that donation to a school teaching film photography is a good choice.

the purely mechanical Nikons still hold some value, but the automatic9 Nikon N- ) have very little value.
What glass do you have with them? Depending on what you have, there may be more value in the lenses.
There is a vibrant market for manual focus glass now that using these lenses with mirror less cameras is so popular.
Yes, I know.
But it's not a conversion like he said.

I looked into selling my old Minolta bodies and lenses earlier this year in preparation for a move. I decided the low costs offered on Ebay wasn't worth the effort and gave it away to Goodwill. I had also checked online with the stores that sell old gear, again not worth it for me.

Sure it is. You change the "sensor" :)
Sure, just add film, a changing bag and a red filter. A great tool for "alternative" visualization since what you gee AIN'T what you get, so you need to predict and translate in your visualization. I loved the IR units I did in Photo 2.
