No. Consider a 7200.

I second the agreement on the D7200. The new body only price is around $1050. You already have DX lenses by owning a D3200. You may save a little more by purchasing a refurbished one from Nikon USA . http://photographylife.com/nikon-d5300-vs-d3200

Don't have 1st had experience but the upgrades are: D5300 offers a better autofocus system, more accurate metering, articulating LCD screen is larger (3.2" vs 3"), with higher resolution. Plus you'll have Wi-Fi + GPS capabilities in D5300, latest image processor (exceed 4 vs exceed 3).
If these features are important to you then it's an upgrade. Of course D7100 or D7200 would be more significant upgrade (1st hand experience here).

I have D5300 and my wife a D3300. There is a huge difference in the menu settings with the D5300 having much more to offer. They are both terrific cameras but I am really happy with the D5300.

Sorry to say, but the reviews and comparisons are your best source of technical information. People who compare cameras day in and day out have the experience to give you the info you need. Then you have to decide. I think the flip screen alone is worth the upgrade. I don't recall, but does the D3200 offer Interval shooting? I know the D5300 does. I have my standard list of comparison sites below in case you missed some, and you can decide what's important to you.

B&H has d7200 bodies as low as $880.00. Excellent camera and a major upgrade from a d3200.
