Which P&S camera with wide angle capability?

I have a Panasonic FZ1000 which has a 25mm-400mm range. Now I'm looking for a mate for it. Requirements?
1) smaller in size than the FZ1000 (which is almost DSLR sized)
2) a bit more wide angle
3) no more than $500 (but could be used)

I'm concerned if there's anything wider than my 25mm. I have no candidates at the moment, so waiting on your advice to get me started.

Thanks

I am not sure if you are looking for a replacement or another camera to use along with your FZ1000. But Nikon is soon to start selling their new DL line of cameras with f.x. the DL 18-50 camera. Then of course you could look at the Nikon 1 lineup and lenses of your choice. Those are my first thoughts. But if you are looking for a superzoom camera that is wider on the wide end than your FZ1000 I can think of nothing that really helps.

I have 3 Canon point and shoots, all smaller than a DSLR but the one I like the most is my SX60HS. Its focal range is equivalent to 21 to 1365. It looks like a mini DSLR, has WIFI, image stabilization, RAW or JPG, articulated screen, electronic view finder, has shutter and aperture priority modes as well as full auto and manual and scene auto, does HD video and has the DIGIC 6 processor, the same one in Canon's top of the line DSLR'S, and is under $500. It's a pretty versatile little camera. Some folks don't like it because it's only 16 megapixel, well the original $6000 1DX is only 18 megapixel.

My original comment says I'm looking for a "mate" for my 25-400mm bridge camera. So, a 2nd camera to use with my FZ1000. I happen to own a Canon SX50, but looking for something wider, and smaller in size.
Since posting, I got to thinking about a Canon EOS-M along with a Canon 10-18mm lens. It may be a little smaller than my FZ1000, but not by very much. But it would nicely satisfy the "wider" requirement.

I own a backup Coolpix Nikon L840 camera, point and shoot, smaller bridge style, 38X fixed lens, 22.5-855mm focal length. I bought it last year for about $225. It is 16 megapixels. Uses 4 AA batteries.

I just bought a Canon G7X (4.2x, IS, 8.8-36.8mm, 1;1.8-2.8). So far I really like the size and sharpness of all my images. I can do almost everything my mammoth Canon 7D does without the weight and lens changing for those days I don't want to carry the 7D and lens around.

Just a thought: My FZ70 has a 20-1200mm lens. Very similar to your FZ1000, I would think. And the current price at about $250 is right. You might take a look.
