In the park in our valley on Oahu, I have seen this line of trees along the south end of the park many times. On this particular day the light just sang "take my picture, please" and I could not resist.

Your pictures of the trees are beautiful and well-composed.

I love Mariposa, CA. What a beautiful shot.

Beautiful trees!

Leatherhelmets - I love the fallen soldier ...I have tried repeatedly for that shot...we have some fallen ones in a nearby nature trail covered in wonderful moss that I really want to get right and I'm not giving up..

Love these shots! Some very cool trees.

Funny, I love trees and yet I have very few pics of them.

Here's a couple old ones.

Gracious... this second one here should be blown up as a mural or at least a very large wall poster!
Speaks to me!

This is beautiful too... neat juxtaposition... knarly unruly-looking tree paired with a well-coiffed bed!

Love the tree. Great shots.
Here's one of mind, it on the M.R.G.O.(Mississippi River Gulf Outlet) When ACOE built it over 50 years ago it killed all the oak trees. Many of the dead trees are still there.

It's very haunting.

Here are a few more of my favorites. Taken in Alaska.

I like the second one best, just something about the 'hanging on til the very end' spirit.

Great captures of trees. This tree is located in the Animal Kingdom at Disneyworld at Orlanda, Fl.

It is called the upside down tree because the branches look like roots of a tree.

I visited Angel Oak about 12 years ago and got some pretty facinating pictures. It was a really big, healty tree. I believe it's age is closer to 1000 years old than 1500, but what do I know?

I have heard that the tree is sick. Does anyone know?
