Hi,
I usually dont ask such thing, and normally I try and try until I get as good as I can. This time I am facing a whole lot more then I am used to.
Been trying to follow both youtube and other tutorials on the net on how to take out a fury subject to use in another scene. I don't have a digital pen, I don't have a waccom tablet or whatever the neme , only the mouse and some basic skils on photoshop. So I turn to you fellow hoggers. Is there somebody that can help me pick out this hyena from this picture. The lower part of the picture is the nightmare for me. Wish I could get as good detail on the fur edges and and if I could get some of the whiskers it would be grate. This is the only copy I have and it's also the correct position that I want. No higher resolution available. I need this hyena in order to use it in what may be a logo in the near future.
thousand thanks in advance.
I extracted the hyena and uploaded him as a .png file. This allows the preservation of a transparent background layer (although it appears white here.) This will allow you to drag the hyena on another background and the hyena will show up, alone .
oh Bob, thank you so much. This is so much better then I managed :)
I think it will do good.
Thanks for making it a PNG. :) it's exactly what I need.
Again, thank you. I shall try to master this technique since there are various ways I see. I find it hard for me since I can't be precise with this set up I have right now.
Bob, I think you left some to folage between his hind legs.
Bob,
Nice job. I won't even try because I doubt I'd do any better. I'm sure if you noticed the remaining grass you would have taken it out. Which program did you use?
If it's not too late , here is another copy to decide on . Thanks for letting offer my copy . Store copy didn't save , so I sent another copy
First copy didn't store for download , so I resent it .

Hi QuickShoot , I see you managed some whiskers on the side. Thank you very much.
I will take both and see what going to look best. You effort is not too late. Now I have the both versions. :)
I wasn't going to submit anything until I got interested in the whiskers. Here is my attempt without paying attention
to the body, just the whiskers. There is probably a way to take the best of each entry and combine them; I have no
idea how, but if it can be done, there is someone out there who will explain how. OR you might be able to clone and
erase parts.
The idea is to have fun while working.

Hi, br br I usually dont ask such thing, and nor... (

I wanted to use Bob's png cut out in PS to see how it worked. I had always used gifs for transparent backgrounds. Anyway, it worked great, and I used a background I took at dusk, from a car window going over a bridge in Destin Florida in 2003 . My picture was not so good but I always thought it looked like it was taken in Africa, so I thought it would look good as a background to use on your Hyena cut out. Then I used the NIK tools Color Efex Pro 4 (Nik tools are free download) just to play/practice a bit. I was going to delete it, but then thought perhaps you might like to see it, or use it, or get some ideas.
