I have been posting this nine year project for a year or so, it is finally complete, flight tested and ready for Oshkosh. I missed the first flight as did most everyone else. I don't think they wanted an audience. I'm hoping to get some in flight shots soon, possibly air to air.

Phil, I'm not even into planes...., but HOLY CRAP, that thing is a work of art !!
If it should ever make it to the Nut Tree Airport, please let me know, I will line up a Model to do a photo shoot with the plane!!!!

When I was a young man, I had a friend who owned an ST - nice plane - fun to fly, but I found it to be a bit squirrely on landing. We used to go up and fly close to the summer cumulus clouds - back when FAA was not so strict. BUT - where can you get parts for that little Menasco 95HP mill? Great job, great plane - THANKS.

It is hard to believe the beauty of the plane when your standing next to it, it will be entered in the restoration contest and compete for grand champion. I have had the job/privilege of documenting the restoration for the past nine years and it has been a joy to watch it come to life. Thanks for looking and commenting!

Thanks SS, it is something that a good photographer would not miss, and I agree that a good looking model would put the icing on the cake. I hated the fact that we had to shoot that in the middle of the day, it's like shooting a mirror. Thanks again for looking in, I appreciate it!

Ted (the owner & pilot) found out about the squirrely landings, came close to ground looping on the first landing, he did however make a nice recovery. The engine is brand new (remanufactured) and is the 120 hp version. Thanks for the kind words!

Does anyone know why admin. would switch this posting from Photo Gallery (where it was originally posted)to the main discussion section? This does not make sense to me.
