Hello from Georgia! Welcome to UHH. I just took a virtual tour of London...via Google Eath. Abbey Road did not look like that on the cover of the Beatles album...but I enjoyed it so much I want ot actually come for a visit. Now my 11 year old daughter has aquired a fascination for Alan Rickman? Yep, the Harry Potter series actor. If she is a nice girl...perhaps she'll be allowed to come alongn. Trouble with that is she won't want to leave. Her mother will not ..be happy. I too love cats..and will try to find a few shots later.
Keep up with your furry friends and never let them attack your camera!

My grandmother had a Seal Point Berman I loved. She had those lovely blue eyes and sadly I lost the shots I had of her. Sam (Samantha) was the coolest kitty and she knew it.
I did my revisit to the English bands from the 60's on Youtube.Wow, what a trip down memory lane! Hermans' Hermits, The Animals, TheYardbirds, Spencer Davis Group,Well, that being said...I loved them all!
Have a great day in the UK!

Hi from over the pond, oh what a sad thing,to have no photographic memories of a loved animal, it would break my heart to loose any of ours and not have any to remind us of them!
as for the old British groups, well time for TRUMPET blowing now ! as they were the best in the world at the time, and i,m sure no one would disagree with that !?
what about possible the best 60,s group of all time The Beatles ? Graham

They were my favorite band of all time.I never had the opportunity to see them live though. Long time ago, I had the boots and long hair and my mom and dad bought m"e my first guitar at 12 years of age." She Loves You" and I Feel Fine' were tunes I learned to play. But, I can't sing ..so no career for me in music...Just photography. Actuall, I traded my electri guitar for a Canon camera..and became the bands' photographer!!

I am retired now, but the band never went anywhere. It was a high school local band in Monterey,California. I was 15 then. I took photo classes for two years in high school and then some colege courses. Then got work at the Army Bases.
So, the years werre exciting working in my field, til my vision became impaired by Diabetes. Still can see a bit,but not well enough to take on assignments. Still can shoot for myself...no pressure that way.

Hi,
two things struck a cord in your message,
one, how the years fly by and we tend to look back on those years around 15/16 with such affection,IF only we could go back and do it again !!!

Sorry to hear about your eye sight,
my wife too among her other ailments suffers with diabetes,
so i know how it affects the old sight, but like you she is hoping to get somewhere with photography soon, though you have done it for years it must be an additional chalenge to cope with it or start with it as my wife is trying to do !

Sorry to hear your wife has this too. I have problems seeing the LCD info. In the old film cameras, I could just set the aperature and shutter speen or use AE mode and can see well enough to compose. AF is a big help of course!
It also messed up my passion to play tennis. I had hoped to one day come to Wimbledon too?Who knows what will be til then. Got to take it one stiep at a time.
Best wishes to you and your wife!
Steve
